Let’s Talk with Bridget Hustwaite

Welcome back (or hello if you're new here) for season 2 of Let's Talk, Period. We are so excited to be back for season 2 and are even more excited to be kicking the season off with the effervescent Bridget Hustwaite! You might know bridge from her incredibly popular show Goodnights on Triple J or through her instagram account @endogram. Bridget was diagnosed with endo in 2018, following a 12 year journey to diagnosis. Following this diagnosis, in 2019 she launched @endogram and with over 26 k followers at time of recording, Bridget has cultivated a community from her honesty and vulnerability. It was from this that Bridget started her newest project, How to Endo, a guide to surviving and thriving with endometriosis. How to endo blends bridge’s own personal experiences with endo as well as tips and strategies from Australian Health Experts.

In this chat we talk on:

  • All things How to Endo, including how it came about, what the experience of writing was like, the hardest chapter to write, and what she hopes people gain from How to Endo!

  • Her very long, tumultuous journey towards getting an endo diagnosis in 2018, after putting up with the symptoms for over ten years due to questioning if she was just weak and needing to suck it up, and worried about doctors thinking it was just in her head

  • What led her to start @endogram

  • How she manages feelings of guilt around her endometriosis

  • How Bridge manages her career whilst having endo, and her tips for doing so

  • Advice for navigating relationships when you are living with endo

  • Plus so much more!
